ডিজায়ার ট্যাবলেট হলো ফ্লিবানসেরিন (১০০ মি.গ্রা.) সমৃদ্ধ একটি ঔষধ, যা তৈরি করেছে জিসকা ফার্মাসিউটিক্যালস লিমিটেড। প্রিমেনোপজাল মহিলাদের যৌন ইচ্ছা হ্রাসের সমস্যা সমাধানে এই ট্যাবলেট ব্যবহার করা হয়। প্রতি ট্যাবলেটের দাম ৳৫০ (১০ টির স্ট্রিপ: ৳৫০০)। সংরক্ষণ করতে হবে ৩০°C তাপমাত্রার নিচে, আলো ও আর্দ্রতা থেকে দূরে। এটি সেরোটোনিন রিসেপ্টর (5HT1A ও 5HT2A) এর কার্যক্রম পরিবর্তন করে ডোপামিন ও নরএপিনেফ্রিন বৃদ্ধি করে। প্রাপ্তবয়স্কদের জন্য রাতে এক ট্যাবলেট সেব্য। ১৮ বছরের নিচে ব্যবহার নিষিদ্ধ। CYP3A4/CYP2C19 ইনহিবিটর (যেমন ওরাল কন্ট্রাসেপটিভ) বা উদ্দীপকের সাথে ব্যবহারে ঝুঁকি বাড়ে। পার্শ্বপ্রতিক্রিয়ার মধ্যে মাথা ঘোরা, তন্দ্রা, বমি ভাব ও শুষ্ক মুখ দেখা দিতে পারে। গর্ভাবস্থা বা স্তন্যদানকালে ব্যবহার নিরুৎসাহিত। অতিরিক্ত সেবনে সাধারণ প্রতিক্রিয়াগুলো তীব্র হতে পারে। সেরোটোনিন-নরএপিনেফ্রিন রিআপটেক ইনহিবিটর (SNRI) শ্রেণীর এই ঔষধ মানসিক বা সম্পর্কজনিত কারণ ছাড়া যৌন ইচ্ছা হ্রাসের ক্ষেত্রে কার্যকর। ব্যবহারের আগে চিকিৎসকের পরামর্শ আবশ্যক।

Indications & Treatment Areas

Dosage & Administration

Recommended dosage of Flibanserin: 100 mg taken once daily at bedtime.

Pediatric Use: Not recommended in patients below 18 years of age.

Geriatric Use: Flibanserin is not indicated for use in geriatric patients. Safety and effectiveness have not been established in geriatric patients.

Side Effects

Most common side effects are Dizziness, Somnolence, Nausea, Fatigue, Insomnia, Dry mouth.

Pregnancy & Lactation

There are no studies of Flibanserin in pregnant women to inform whether there is a drug-associated risk in humans. Flibanserin is excreted in rat milk. It is unknown whether flibanserin is present in human milk, whether Flibanserin has effects on the breastfed infant, or whether Flibanserin affects milk production. Because of the potential for serious adverse reactions including sedation in a breastfed infant, breastfeeding is not recommended during treatment with Flibanserin.

Precautions & Warnings

Patients with pre-syncope should immediately lie supine and promptly seek medical help if symptoms do not resolve. Exacerbated by other CNS depressants and in settings where Desire concentrations are increased. Patients should avoid activities requiring full alertness (e.g., operating machinery or driving) until at least 6 hours after each dose and until they know how Desire affects them.
